We're passionate historians and marketers who understand the influential intersection of storytelling, power, and distribution.

Purpose

Demystifying and democratizing history to educate, transform, and create change.

Mission

Reclaim and restore historical narratives back to their rightful owners by transforming how individuals and communities learn about and interact with Black and Indigenous history.

Our Values Story

We believe that healing and wholeness begins with honesty, courage, and truth-telling.  We approach our work with respect and integrity, realizing that we are peering into the past with the insights and stories we are able to glean from the narratives left behind.   We're not perfect, and neither were those who came before us.  History is messy and very rarely as simplified as we make it in our minds.  We are lifelong learners who approach the stories of the past with humility because we know we don't have all the answers.  Confronting, challenging, and changing long-held beliefs is courageous and involves deep reflection and internal acceptance.  No amount of convincing or coercion can make that happen.   We engage with "the willing".  Not everyone is ready to hear, much less accept, new information because it threatens to disrupt the very foundation on which their identity is built. However, if you are willing and ready, we have so much information that we want to share with you.
